Founded in 1983, Affetside Choir is a vibrant and welcoming community choir open to adults of all ages who share a passion for singing. Whether you love to sing with others or perform for an audience, you’ll find a warm and supportive environment with us. No auditions are required, and you don’t need any prior musical experience—just a love for singing and a willingness to join in.
Our Music and Leadership
Our diverse repertoire spans a wide range of genres, from modern hits to timeless classics, encompassing everything from contemporary tunes to traditional choral music. We are guided by our talented Musical Director and accompanied by an experienced pianist who helps bring our performances to life.
Performances and Events
Affetside Choir performs at a variety of venues and events throughout the year, including residential and care homes, weddings, civic ceremonies, charitable events, and collaborative concerts with other bands and choirs. Through our performances, we aim to share the joy of music while also raising funds for local and national charities.

Charity and Fees
As a registered charity, our choir operates on a not-for-profit basis. We charge a small termly fee to help cover costs, making it accessible for everyone to participate.

We rehearse during term time on Monday evenings from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at Bolton Road Methodist Church in Bury. Everyone is welcome to attend, whether you’re looking to make new friends, develop your singing skills, or simply enjoy an evening of music.
